The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre
The programme is hosted by The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is one of the largest networked cancer centres in the UK. From ten operating sites across Merseyside and Cheshire they treat over 30,000 patients a year, offering pioneering chemotherapy, radiotherapy and proton therapy treatments.
They also have an advanced/high tech Imaging department and host the region’s Teenage and Young Adult Unit, (supported by the Teenage Cancer Trust).
Their specialist cancer care to is available to patients from all over the UK and overseas, as well as our catchment areas of Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales, the Isle of Man and parts of Lancashire. Patients and their families benefit from a supportive environment and the highest level of advice and support.
In 2014/15 The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre delivered more than 43,000 outpatient chemotherapy treatments and 1,000 inpatient chemotherapy episodes of care.
